Prince Harry, the youngest son, appears to have been overlooked in favour of Prince Andrew, the king’s brother.

Despite the Duke of York’s banishment from the Royal Institution, His Majesty has consented to pay for about £3 million in security costs annually, according to the Telegraph.

Prince Harry, who is at odds with the Home Office over the same, is also having problems.

Former Home Office minister Norman Baker claims:  “Armed protection has always been a status symbol for the likes of Prince Andrew.

“Of course he should pay it himself and not burden the taxpayer because he is a private individual and carries out no public duties. People like David Beckham pay for their own security so why shouldn’t Prince Andrew?”

“We shouldn’t pay for Andrew or Harry’s protection or that of any other member of the Royal Family who performs no public duties,” he continued.
