A$AP Rocky pled not guilty to two counts of assault with a firearm stemming from an alleged shooting incident in Hollywood in 2021.
On Wednesday, the Praise the Lord musician, who welcomed a child with his girlfriend Rihanna earlier this year, personally entered his pleas in a Los Angeles court.
Rocky, whose true name is Rakim Mayers, is suspected of aiming a semi-automatic gun and firing twice at a former buddy, Terell Ephron, during an altercation in November 2021 in Hollywood.
Following Ephron’s claim that the rapper shot him in November, the rapper was charged earlier this week. According to media sources, the rapper faces up to nine years in prison if convicted as charged.
On August 17, Los Angeles Superior Court Justice Victoria B. Wilson forbade the singer from owning firearms or ammo and prohibited him from approaching Ephron within 100 yards.
In addition to setting a preliminary trial date of November 2, the court ruled that the rapper must coordinate dates with the prosecution.
Rocky is presently scheduled to headline Rolling Loud New York on September 24 at Citi Field in Queens.
