On Wednesday, A$AP Rocky pleaded not guilty to two felony assaults with firearm charges in connection with the November shooting of a former buddy in Hollywood.

Rocky, 33, arrived in court in Los Angeles alongside his attorney, who confirmed to the judge that the musician was filing a not guilty plea.

During a “heated discussion,” Rocky, whose actual name is Rakim Mayers, allegedly pointed a semi-automatic weapon at a guy, according to a statement by Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón.

In a later encounter, Rocky took his weapon and fired twice at the man, who got a minor injury, according to the statement.

A$AP Rocky received a suspended sentence in August 2019 for his participation in a fight in Stockholm.

After an argument, the rapper and two members of his entourage were convicted of kicking and beating a 19-year-old male. They told the court that their actions were in self-defence.

According to media sources, in May, Rocky and the musician Rihanna welcomed their son.
