A$AP Rocky was released from prison after being arrested at LAX airport. Rocky was arrested and released on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon on Wednesday, stemming from an alleged incident in November 2021. According to Entertainment Tonight, the rapper’s release was confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department.

A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, recently returned from a vacation in Barbados with Rihanna, his pregnant girlfriend. The rapper was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport at 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday morning while returning from the same. Rocky was released after posting a USD 555, 000 bail bond. He was apparently investigated by the Homicide Division after his detention.

Rocky will appear in court on August 17 at the LAX Superior Courthouse, according to Entertainment Tonight. According to reports, the LAPD executed a search warrant at the rapper’s Los Angeles residence following his detention. Rocky and Rihanna had recently travelled to Barbados amid rumours that their relationship was in danger due to an infidelity scandal. Rihanna and he, on the other hand, put all the rumours to rest when they went out on a date night in Barbados.
