Telephone service between the UAE and Israel has been restored following the agreement.

According to US media, telephone lines have been opened between the two countries after the agreement between the UAE and Israel, after which the UAE can easily call any number in Israel.

The sources said that UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Israeli Foreign Minister Sheikh Gabi Ashkenazi have inaugurated the opening of telephone lines between the two countries.

On the occasion, the Israeli Minister of Communications congratulated the United Arab Emirates on the opening of telephone lines.

The Israeli Minister of Communications said that the opening of communication links would create a number of economic opportunities, while confidence-building measures would promote the interests of both countries.

Earlier, telephone communication was not possible for citizens of both countries.

It may be recalled that on Thursday, a historic agreement was made between Israel and the United Arab Emirates under which diplomatic relations between the two countries will be fully normalized.
