In an effort to assist residents facing document loss, Dubai Police introduced a user-friendly process for obtaining a lost certificate. Beyond license plates, this service encompasses crucial documents such as passports, Emirates IDs, and vehicle licenses.

Requirements for Lost License Plates:

Arabic letter from the company or institution detailing the lost plate.

Emirates ID or passport information, including gender, date of birth, nationality, and email address.

Steps to Obtaining a Lost Certificate:

Application Form Submission:

  • Fill out the application form on the Dubai Police app, providing necessary details such as the category of the lost item, date, time, and location of the loss.

Payment Process:

  • Pay the service fee of Dh50 and a Dh20 knowledge and innovation fee. An additional Dh100 fee applies for in-person applications at service centers. Payment options include cash at service centers or digital payment by card.

Submission and Tracking:

  • After payment, submit the request and receive a transaction number via SMS and email. This number facilitates tracking and follow-up on the application.

Certificate Issuance:

  • Once processed, the lost certificate and receipt are sent via email and are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.
