ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court of Islamabad has approved four-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the case pertaining to 190 million pounds scandal, Bol News reported.
Judge Muhammad Bashir of the Accountability Court issued a written order for the hearing of the the case held previous day.
The National Accountability Court (NAB) had requested a 10-day physical remand in its written order. The order mentioned that chairman PTI’s 4-day physical remand was approved.
The court said the chairman PTI would be produced before the court again on November 21.
On November 17, sisters and wife of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan had filed a petition in the accountability court seeking permission to meet the incarcerated former prime minister in Adiala jail, Bol News had reported.
The plea was filed in the accountability court by lawyer Shiraz Ranjha on behalf of Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi and sisters.
The accountability court judge would hear the petition seeking permission for meeting between the family members in the jail. Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir would conduct the hearing.
Counsel Shiraz Ranjha had said the ex-PM was arrested in 190 million pound case. He had said his wife and his three sisters wanted to meet him in jail.
The lawyer had said the hearing regarding the physical remand of chairman PTI was on Friday in jail. Family members should be allowed to meet chairman PTI, he had added.
