LHC rejects Usman Dar’s bail plea in corruption, forgery case

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday rejected the interim bail plea of former PTI leader Usman Dar in the corruption and forgery case.

The court also rejected Dar’s plea of protective bail and directed him to approach the anti-corruption court of Gujranwala.

On the court order, Usman Dar submitted an affidavit in the court stating that the judge of the anti-corruption Gujranwala court verbally refused to restore the application for non-compliance.

On the order of the court, SHO of Rangpura Sialkot police station presented the record of the case to the court.

Additional Prosecutor General Chaudhry Muhammad Mustafa apposed granting to interim bail to Usman Dar.

The government lawyer stated that the interim bail of Dar was rejected by the anti-corruption court of Gujranwala for non-compliance, adding that Dar must approach the same court.

To which, Dar’s lawyer stated that Judges of anti-corruption Gujranwala court are not accepting interim bail requests.

He added that the police named in the case without any legal justification and evidence.
