- Mexican Congress hosts the 2nd UFO session with mummies from Peru.
- They refrained from certifying that these remains were of extraterrestrial origin.
- Maussan left open the possibility of their origin being otherworldly.
Mexico’s Congress heard from a group of researchers who confirmed the authenticity of a collection of three-fingered Peruvian mummies that were recently presented as potential evidence of non-human life forms on Tuesday.
However, they refrained from certifying that these remains were of extraterrestrial origin.
The initial presentation took place on September 13, featuring Mexican journalist and UFO enthusiast Jaime Maussan.
During this groundbreaking congressional event focused on UFOs (known as FANIs in Spanish), Maussan introduced two specimens he claimed had been discovered near Peru’s ancient Nazca lines, asserting that these bodies were unrelated to any terrestrial life forms.
Maussan concentrated on substantiating the authenticity of the bodies, which were not on display this time in the follow-up session. He brought forward a series of medical experts who all affirmed that these specimens were indeed the remains of genuine, once-living organisms.
Nevertheless, Maussan left open the possibility of their origin being otherworldly, stating, “None of the scientists say [the study results] prove that they are extraterrestrials, but I go further,” implying that they might be indicative of life forms not of Earth.
Anthropologist Roger Zuniga, hailing from San Luis Gonzaga National University in Ica, Peru, revealed that researchers had been investigating five similar specimens over four years.
He confidently asserted, “They’re real,” adding that there was no evidence of human interference in the physical and biological composition of these beings. However, he admitted not knowing the precise origin of these entities.
Zuniga presented a letter signed by 11 researchers from his university, affirming the authenticity of the specimens. The letter emphasized, however, that they were not making claims about the bodies being “extraterrestrial.”
Maussan’s initial presentation had been met with criticism from many experts who regarded it as a publicity stunt that had long been debunked by the scientific community.
They pointed to previous studies on similar remains, which had concluded that the specimens were modified using animal and human bones.
Zuniga argued that the specimens Maussan and his team examined were genuine and not fabricated. The debate on the authenticity and origin of these mummies continued in response to these criticisms.
Congressman Sergio Gutierrez, a member of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s ruling Morena party, called for a legislative reform to make all information concerning UFOs publicly accessible.
During Tuesday’s session, discussions occasionally ventured into more unconventional theories. Argentine surgeon Celestino Adolfo Piotto, after reviewing test results and images of the bodies, expressed his belief that they represented an evolved version of contemporary human beings, referring to them as “our descendants.”
Mexican rapper Claudio Yarto shared his encounters with UFOs and concluded his speech with a rhyming verse, eliciting applause from the audience in a lighter moment.
