Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres who assured full support to Pakistan for the support in rehabilitation of the flood victims.
The meeting discussed the cooperation with Pakistan for ongoing humanitarian relief work and long-term recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction in flood-affected areas.
The foreign minister underscored that the country needs support in the wake of devastating floods and also appreciated Secretary-General for his solidarity with the country.
The foreign minister sought the Secretary-General’s continued cooperation to secure the participation of key donors, development institutions and the private sector in the pledging conference and to encourage them to support Pakistan’s comprehensive Plan and specific project proposals.
