At Al Janoub Stadium in Al-Wakrah on Thursday, a Group G match between Switzerland and Cameroon was won by Switzerland 1-0 thanks to a goal scored by Breel Embolo.
The match was played between the two countries. Cameroon started off the game on a dominant note, displaying some really good attack early on in the contest.
There were opportunities for Switzerland to score early on as well, but in the first half of the match, neither team was able to find the back of the net. Embolo, however, was the one to score the game-winning goal in the second half, and he did so in the 48th minute with a cool and collected finish from inside the box.
