The security of the Punjab Governor House may be handed over to the Rangers and FC after the protest by the PTI workers at governor’s house on Friday.
The proposal of giving the governor security to the federation was being mulled, sources said.
A report has been sought from the departments concerned and the final decision of handing over to the federal agencies would be taken after the opinion of the departments concerned.

Earlier, the Punjab Governor House administration requested Punjab’s Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police to deploy police force outside the Punjab Governor House for the security of the Punjab Governor and his family, staff residing in the Governor House and in order to stop the mob from entering the premises.
According to our Lahore Correspondent Sajjad Pervaiz, a spokesman of Governor House said the administration has also been requested to register cases against the protesters for breaking the law.
Earlier, unruly mobs of PTI gathered outside the Punjab Governor House this evening and tried to crash the front gate on the Mall, burnt tires, The mob tried to climb the gate and vandalized the CCTV cameras.
