Raja Azhar said, “Whatever you do, our morale is high. I will go to the court against the SSP South.”

The Karachi Police personnel attacked peaceful marchers of the PTI with batons and fired teargas shells, consequently Raja Azhar also got injured.

While trying to stop the PTI activists near Regent Plaza, the police fired teargas shells at the protestors. In response, the PTI workers started pelting stones at the police, while the women workers were also verbally abused by the police.

MPA Raja Azhar got wounded in stampede as the police began baton-charge on them. Several of the protestors, including women, were detained. The detained protestors were transferred to an unknown location in a police mobile.

Meanwhile, the protesters dispersed to avoid teargas shelling and arrests, and a large number of them regrouped near the FTC flyover.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif told the National Assembly on Friday that Imran Khan’s statements had hurt the religious sentiments of an accused Naveed who attacked Imran Khan during his march.

The minister said that it was evident from the videos of an accused that his religious sentiments were hurt because of the language, the former Prime Minster used from time to time or crossed the red line of religion which compelled him to attack on him.

The entire duty staff of the police station including the Station House Officer (SHO) was suspended only for recording the statement of the accused and the Chief Minister transferred the case to the Police Station Kunja which falls in his constituency, said the minister.

He said at the very initial level of investigation, the issue is being politicized for political gain which is a mockery of the system.
