ISLAMABAD: Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar on Friday said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan brought the precious gifts of Toshakhana at lower prices and avoided to present the respective details before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), alleging the latter for committing corruption.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the ECP had given verdict against Imran in Toshakhana reference as “he lied when he filed the annual returns before the commission.”

The law minister also accused Imran of attacking cities with mobs in the pretext of registering protest.

Meanwhile, the ECP announced that former prime minister Imran Khan had been disqualified in the Toshakhana case under Article 63.

A five member bench of the commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja announced the verdict.

The commission also directed to proceed with the action against corrupt practices in the decision and his parliamentarian ship was also quashed.

ECP had called all relevant parties or their representatives to appear before the electoral body before announcing the verdict pm. To avoid any untoward incident, security had been tightened on the premises and heavy contingents of Rangers, FC and Police were deployed.

Not only this, massive tear gas shells were also being provided to the security personnel keeping in view the possibility of protests by the PTI workers.

Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Friday said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan would give a call for the long march before October 30, Bol News reported.

Talking to media, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said former prime minister of the United Kingdom Lisa Truss resigned from her post about 45 days after commodities prices multiplied. However, he said, the coalition government wanted to live under the influence of power’s drug.

He said their dream of minus one would never come true. He said Imran Khan would hold a final meeting at 10:00pm tonight.

“The decision (of disqualifying Imran Khan) has been announced under a planned conspiracy,” he said adding that the funeral of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) would be carried out soon.
