According to the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), by the end of May, Chinese police had broken nearly 3,700 cases involving organised crime related to natural resources and arrested 4,700 criminal suspects since launching a targeted statewide campaign last July.
During the campaign, local public security officials actively collaborated with appropriate departments to collect evidence and conduct exhaustive inspections of links such as the mining, sale, and transportation of natural resources, particularly sand and minerals.
As per MPS, a number of large-scale criminal cases that seriously violated the interests of the people have been addressed and resolved under its supervision.

Local public security organs have worked with appropriate authorities to boost measures to battle such crimes in a coordinated and preventative way, and they have increased collaboration with disciplinary inspection and supervision organisations in addressing shelters covering up and inventing such crimes.
