Indian man ‘upset’ with God damages Hindu idols

According to NDTV, an Indian man who was “angry” with God for making his family sick vandalised Hindu idols in a temple and was jailed.

Vinod Kumar, 27, of Greater Noida, Madhya Pradesh, India, was detained after a local resident filed a FIR against him.

Kumar was enraged since his family had been sick for several years.

Three idols were vandalised, according to the police. Because there was no priest in the temple, the police responded to the resident’s complaint by dispatching officers to the scene.

“The accused was arrested on Tuesday after the matter was examined,” a police official stated.

“He was found with the tools he used to harm the idols,” they added.

According to the accused, his wife and kid have been ill for the previous three years. He claimed that he had been praying to the gods for their health to improve, but that it had not. He was also unhappy since his aunt had died.

Kumar admitted to committing the crime. He smashed the idols with a hammer and chisel, frustrated and angry at the situation.
