Since Russian forces withdrew, more than 1,200 civilians have been found dead in the Kyiv region; according to Kyiv Region Police Chief Andriy Nebytov, who spoke to Ukrainian television on Monday.

1200 bodies found in Kyiv

Investigators inspected the remains before transferring them to “forensic institutes” to ascertain the cause of death. 280 of the bodies discovered have yet to be identified. The accusations have not been verified.

Nebytov also advised Ukrainians to call a hotline to report missing people so that the dead might be identified more readily.

Hundreds of remains were discovered by officials, villagers, and reporters in the suburbs around Kyiv, where Russian soldiers attacked. Some were buried in mass graves, while others were executed or slain in attacks.
