IHC bars police to arrest Shahbaz Gill, Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued notices to the parties on request of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry and directions were given to ensure that no action should be taken against the petitioners till the next hearing.

The court also orders to ensure no one can harass the PTI leaders.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to file pleas for relief in the cases registered against PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other leaders over chanting slogans in Masjid-e-Nabwi.

PTI leaders Shahbaz Gill and Fawad Chaudhry have filed separate pleas to seek protective bail from Islamabad High Court (IHC), reported Bol News.

Petitioner Shahbaz Gill requested the court to approve his security bail and maintained that he was prepared to appear in the relevant court.

His plea also holds that a false and fabricated FIR was launched against him.

On the other hand, Fawad Chaudhry in his petition maintained that the PTI leadership was being harassed and the cases against them were a campaign launched for the political revenge against the party.

PTI Legal Team Advocate Faisal Farid and Advocate Ali Bukhari filed the petitions.

Advocate Faisal Chaudhry maintained that a seven-member bench has ruled out that not more than one FIR could be launched in a single case, however, multiple FIRs were being launched against PTI in the Masjid-e-Nabwi incident.

Despite the holidays, IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah fixed the hearing on an urgent basis in regards to the pleas filed by PTI leadership.
