As part of Ramadan celebrations and UAE local fitness groups’ TrainYas activities, Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi will host a duathlon and run on April 25.
At this year’s DuYas, participants will compete in a 27.5-kilometer endurance race that includes a 5-kilometer run, a 20-kilometer bike, and a 2.5-kilometer run to the finish line.
Athletes can compete individually or as a team on the Yas Marina Circuit track, with prizes awarded to the top finishers across the event.
The top male, female, and team finishers will get a prize of 2,500 Emirati dirhams ($680), with classifications comprising junior, open, masters, and veteran sections.
Runners of all ages will be able to enter the family-friendly RunYas event, which will have a 5-kilometer or 2.5-kilometer course.
Entrants will need to display their Al-Hosn green pass and a 96-hour negative PCR test for COVID-19 to meet local safety regulations.
Participants who have not been vaccinated must submit a 48-hour negative PCR test to be admitted.
Athletes can compete in the DuYas event in one of two categories: individual sprint duathlons or team sprint duathlon relays, with entry costs starting at 150 dirhams for Monday’s event.
