According to Page Six, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of ‘toying’ with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles’ emotions.
“I think the queen and Prince Charles have missed them enormously,” royal biographer Angela Levin told Good Morning Britain on Friday, “and consequently Harry and Meghan could wrap them around their little fingers and utilise them for commercial gain as they have done previously.”
Harry and Meghan’s visit could have been planned after they were chastised for missing Prince Philip’s memorial, according to Levin.
“Their efforts to reach out likely have something to do with not turning up at Prince Philip’s memorial service and finding out from that what the reaction to that was — it was very bad — and they can’t afford to lose that publicity,” Levin remarked.
The remarks came only one day after Prince Harry and Meghan paid a surprise visit to the Queen and Prince Charles in Windsor while on their way to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.
The meeting was the couple’s first return to the UK together since stepping down as senior royals and relocating to the United States in 2020.
It was also the first proper meeting between Harry and Meghan and the monarch and Charles since their sensational tell-all with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, in which they appeared to accuse the royal family of making racial remarks against their son Archie.
