After being attacked by Ukrainian soldiers, two Russian tanks are blasted to shreds by tracer bullets.
Drone footage shows Ukrainian soldiers evading a Russian shelling as they run through trenches in Mariupol before launching a counterattack.
The video, which has now gone viral, purports to show two Russian tanks moving along a civilian road on the outskirts of the besieged city.
The enemy tanks are then struck with two tracer shots, which explode on impact. As the tanks try to retreat, they are hit once more in a second barrage of bullets.
In what looks to be an attempt to destroy the heavy gear, troops fire more bullets into the blazing targets.
It comes as Russia has finished withdrawing 24,000 troops from Kyiv and Chernihiv in preparation for a massive operation in the country’s east.
Residents in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Mariupol are being informed that this is their “final chance” to evacuate before a fresh round of shelling begins.
Mariupol is still under siege, with 170,000 people still trapped inside, and civilian casualties have soared to 5,000, including 210 children.
It comes as the battle in Ukraine has reached a “very perilous moment,” with Russians preparing for a “overwhelming last strike,” according to the Chief of the Air Staff.
Sir Mike Wigston said that the fight was “far from done,” but the coming weeks might be a watershed moment for the wounded nation as Putin’s soldiers withdraw and prepare for their next murderous offensive.
Speaking to The Sun accompanying British RAF forces on their way to Romania for a series of gruelling NATO drills, the UK’s senior air leader guaranteed that the UK “will be ready” to assist turn the tide.
And he conceded that sending armoured tanks or other gear to Ukraine would be “logistically doable” if Boris Johnson gave the go-ahead.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister stated that he is “definitely looking at what extra military help we can offer,” as Nato members deliberated on how to strengthen Ukraine’s resistance.
The air chief argued that the fight was the most significant geopolitical realignment since World War II, and that European, Russian, and global ties would never be the same again.
“These are major upheavals in European geopolitics – and we are going through them right now,” he added.
“European geopolitics have now transformed as drastically as they did in 1945.”
