Vladimir Putin’s forces are miserably unprepared for their invasion of Ukraine and have had to drink from ponds filled with dead frogs.
Things have become worse for Putin’s invading army since his stunning act of violence in invading Ukraine.
According to Russian conscripts on the frontlines, many of them have been issued 19th-century firearms and told to draw enemy fire.
According to fighters in the Donbas area, they were flown to Ukraine with little food or drink, no training, and absolutely inadequate equipment.
One soldier told Reuters that despite never having been trained, he was instructed to shield his colleagues from a close-quarters attack by Ukrainian soldiers.
“I don’t even know how to shoot an automatic weapon,” he informed his commanding officer.
“We were taught nothing,” he added. I’d only seen mortars in movies up until that time. Obviously, I had no idea what to do with them.
“There were several casualties. I despise the conflict. Curse it, I don’t want it. “Why are they sending me to be slaughtered?”
As his squad ran out of supplies, he was forced to drink from a foul pond of water covered with the remains of dead frogs.
Other draftees are said to have been given a Mosin, a 19th-century weapon that hasn’t been used since World War II.
These guys were allegedly instructed to provoke enemy fire so that surveillance teams could locate and bomb Ukrainian positions.
Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson may be considering sending even more weaponry to Ukraine after threatening to give “more deadly” supplies.
Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, the UK’s chief of defence staff, stated that the country was entering a “new phase” in terms of the sort of military equipment it could deliver.
But he did not specify which type of weapons Britain might send.
A cabinet source said: “The Ukrainian army is not only holding big cities, but it is also forcing the Russians to retreat. Our support needs to change with that.”
