Smethwick house combed by cops for clues on schoolboy missing for more than twenty years

Analysts are saying that the “Black Country” property for hints on how a young schoolboy disappeared over twenty year’s period.

Phillip Harris has not been seen since he left his West Bromwich home and told his family he will go through the night at a companion’s home.

The 15-year-old never gotten back and his vanishing stays a secret just about 23 years on.  The investigators assessing the case are currently looking through a property in St Paul’s Road, Smethwick, which was connected to Phillip at that time period.

Current inhabitants are not associated with the enquiry and have been rehoused while the pursuit happens, West Midlands Police affirmed. The student’s family are frantic to realize what befallen him and presently begging the general population to help the police examination.

They said: “”We think about Phillip every day. We love him and miss him more than words can say. If anyone has any information about what has happened to Phillip or where he might be please let the police know, even though he has been missing for many years we are still desperate to know where Phillip is so that we can have some closure.”

Phillip left his home in St Eleanors Close, West Bromwich, to visit a companion in Northfield on the morning of 28 July, 1999.

He called his foster parents soon thereafter to say he would remain for the time being with a companion however he has not been seen since. There have been no affirmed sightings of Phillip in spite of media requests in Birmingham and Manchester – where he had family connects

Criminal investigator Inspector Jim Church, from force CID, expressed: “Unfortunately there has been no confirmation of life for Phillip in such an extremely long time and we really want to investigate all the data we need to check whether we can figure out what has been going on with him. We have been in contact with Phillip’s family and made them mindful of our examinations.
