Nazim Jokhio murder case: PPP MNA Jam Karim granted bail till April 11

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday granted interim pre-arrest bail to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA Jam Abdul Karim Bijar till April 11 in Nazim Jokhio murder case.

The court directed the lawmaker to cooperate in the investigation of the case.

Karim who had earlier returned from UAE and filed the bail application appear before Justice Omer Sial of SHC. His counsel pleaded that the applicant had returned to the country and wanted to surrender himself before the law.

Justice Sial, without touching the merits of the case, granted him pre-arrest bail until April 11 against solvent surety bonds worth Rs 100,000.

Karim was earlier granted 10 days of protective bail he had sought through his attorney by a division bench in the same case on March 25.

The applicant along with his brother Jam Awais and others was nominated by Afzal Jokhio in the murder of his brother Nazim Jokhio whose tortured corpse was found near Jam’s farmhouse in Memon Goth Malir on November 3, 2021, a day after the deceased had stopped some local and foreigners guests of Jam from hunting hubara bustard in his village Salar Goth in Dahbeeji.
