Maria B, a well-known Pakistani fashion designer and businesswoman, owns one of the country’s top clothing and perfume brands. She is admired for her elegant luxury clothing lines and often features leading local and international celebrities in her campaigns. Maria B openly shares her views on feminism, LGBTQ issues, and global affairs alongside her work in fashion. Recently, she has been speaking out against what she describes as hidden LGBTQ agendas in Pakistan.
In her latest statement, Maria B said she had received videos and pictures from acquaintances showing a private LGBTQ party in Lahore. According to her, several transgender individuals attended the event wearing outfits with satanic themes, which she claimed carried hidden messages and promoted vulgarity. She said the content disturbed those who shared it with her because of what the event represented.
Maria B also said that private screenings of Joyland, a film directed by Sarmad Khoosat that explores LGBTQ themes, are reportedly taking place in Lahore.
She questioned the government’s stance on LGBTQ issues and shared a video of an Israeli official calling on Pakistan to lift restrictions on LGBTQ activities.
The designer made it clear that she is not afraid of criticism from “Desi liberals” and vowed to continue exposing LGBTQ-related events in the country.
