Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz stated that the dream of modernization in agriculture is becoming a reality through super seeders.
Farmers shared their experiences, highlighting the excellent results of wheat sowing using super seeders. They expressed that this method is far superior to traditional techniques.
According to the farmers, the use of super seeders significantly enhances soil fertility. Additionally, the ability to sow wheat on one acre within an hour saves both time and resources.
They further committed to using super seeders for future wheat cultivation.
Expressing satisfaction with the results, CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized that agricultural mechanization is just the beginning and assured that more revolutionary steps will be taken to advance the agriculture sector.
Maryam Nawaz remarked that farmers have received significant relief through reduced labor costs, time savings, and lower fuel consumption. She emphasized that their mission is to ensure farmers’ prosperity, modernize agriculture, and promote its growth.
The Punjab Chief Minister further affirmed her commitment to transforming Punjab into a hub of modern agricultural technology, with a strategy focused on reducing production costs and increasing profitability.
The use of super seeders in Punjab has started yielding impressive results. In just a few months, 1,000 farmers collectively earned 579.5 million rupees.
With super seeders, labor costs have been reduced by 100 rupees per acre, and seed consumption has decreased from 50 kg to 47 kg per acre.
Across the province, wheat cultivation with super seeders has resulted in a total seed saving of 330 tons, while diesel consumption has been reduced by 18.7 million liters compared to traditional methods.
The use of super seeders has led to savings of 4.862 billion rupees in diesel expenses, while farmers have saved 3,666 rupees per acre on wheat sowing.
In 31 districts, 7,805 farmers cultivated wheat on 110,014 acres using super seeders. Out of these, 7,805 farmers utilized super seeders on 68,185 acres through rental services.
Additionally, 93% of farmers rated wheat germination through super seeder cultivation as excellent.
