Ushna Shah, one of Pakistan’s top drama actresses, has become a leading lady since her debut in “Bashar Momin”. With a string of successful projects, she currently stars as the heroine in two major dramas, “Ghair” and “Aye Ishq e Junoon”. During a recent episode of the show she hosts, where Saleem Mairaj was a guest, Ushna shared her insights about the challenges and realities of being a heroine in the Pakistani drama industry.

Ushna Shah said that “being a heroine is a very difficult job. She compared her work to the work of the supporting cast and revealed how tough it gets for the main face of the show”.

She said that “the heroine has to give 75-80 days to the drama as she will be in every other scene. She is treated like a showpiece in our dramas and many times she just has to sit and cry in the scenes. Thus being a heroine is a very tough job. She said that according to her many supporting actors get paid far more than she is.”
