The Pakistani rupee depreciated by 0.06 paisa against the US dollar on Friday, December 6, 2024, closing at Rs278.00, compared to the previous day’s rate of Rs277.94 in the interbank market.
In the open market, the dollar’s buying and selling rates were recorded at Rs277.60 and Rs279.10, respectively, as per the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP).
Additionally, the Euro gained Rs1.25, closing at Rs294.23, up from the previous rate of Rs292.98, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese yen fell by 0.01 paisa, closing at Rs1.84.
Meanwhile, the British Pound saw an increase of 80 paisa, ending the day at Rs354.83, up from Rs354.03.
The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal also saw minor increases, rising by 0.01 and 0.03 paisa, respectively, closing at Rs75.68 and Rs74.00.
