Roger Nores, a close friend of Liam Payne, has publicly accused the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires of being “responsible for his [Payne] death” following the singer’s tragic fall from a third-floor balcony.

Payne was staying at the hotel after his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, returned to the U.S., leaving him with Nores.

Nores, an Argentine businessman, was one of the last people to see Payne alive. In an interview with The Mirror, he explained that he visited Payne multiple times on the day of the incident, leaving just 40 minutes before the fall. “

There were over 15 people in the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left. I could have never imagined something like this would happen,” he said.

Nores, now under investigation for possible abandonment, denies any wrongdoing and insists he was simply a “very dear friend,” not Payne’s manager. His legal team has filed a lawsuit against the hotel, accusing it of negligence.

The suit highlights the absence of a 24-hour doctor on site and claims hotel staff were aware of Payne’s intoxicated state but took no action. The legal filing states, “A world-famous person… was going through a crisis caused by drug intake… and they did not even make an effort.”
