Widespread rains, with isolated heavy downpours, are expected in Peshawar and various regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday night and Thursday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are moving into the upper and central parts of Pakistan, while a westerly wave is affecting the upper regions of the country.

Due to these weather conditions, rainfall is anticipated in areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Batagram, Mansehra, Balakot, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Nowshera, Swabi, Charsadda, Mohmand, Khyber, Bajaur, Malakand, Mardan, Peshawar, Karak, Kohat, Hangu, Orakzai, Kurram, Bannu, Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday night and Thursday, with some intervals of dry weather. Heavy downpours are also likely in the upper districts during this period.

In Peshawar, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 34-36°C on Thursday and 35-37°C on Friday. Rainfall has already been reported in Peshawar and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past 24 hours.
