HARIPUR: Session Judge was shot at and injured by unknown assailants, here on Tuesday.

The Session Judge Fareed Khan received bullet wounds on his legs. The injured judge was shifted to a hospital.

Judge Farid Khan is a resident of Chhohar Sharif, the police said. He was fired upon outside the mosque, the ISP Investigation Jamilur Rahman.

The City Police Station officials reached the spot and started the probe into the incident. They said that the judge sustained two bullet wounds.

The injured judge has been referred to Abbottabad after being given first aid, the police said, adding the incident is result of family enmity. The injured judge nominated Ghayur Khan Shabir Khan and Jehangir Khan in FIR.

Earlier in Karachi, three police constables were injured in alleged exchange of fire with robbers near Jamali Bridge, here on Tuesday, said police officials.

However, the accused dacoits escaped benefitting darkness and also took away their injured accomplice, who sustained bullet wound during the encounter.

The search for the absconding suspects is ongoing, they said. The wounded cops were identified as Kashif, Hamza and Zuhaib.
