Wasim Akram, one of Pakistan’s most successful cricket stars, has earned legendary status through his remarkable records and strong media presence. Now a renowned analyst and commentator, he consistently shares honest opinions in every interview, solidifying his iconic reputation among cricket fans.
Talk about the declining fitness levels of Pakistani cricketers has been widespread. During the World Cup, many players appeared unfit, with Azam Khan facing particular criticism online. Now, Wasim Akram has weighed in, expressing his concerns over the disappointing fitness situation.
Wasim said that “he was aware that cricketers were not focusing on fitness way before people noticed it in the World Cup. He did not want to say anything and the world later saw what happened on the field.”
He also spoke about how he thought that “there will be so much knowledge after the advent of social media and people will be super positive towards one another but that is not what happened. People have become negative and there is a lot of hate and trolling that goes on the internet which is quite opposite to what he thought social media would bring.”
