Actor and host Mohsin Abbas Haider has voiced his desire to portray Pakistan’s first-ever solo Olympic gold medalist, Arshad Nadeem, in a biographical film.
Following Arshad Nadeem’s historic win in the javelin event at the Paris Olympics 2024, where he made the nation proud by becoming the first solo Olympic champion from Pakistan, Haider took to social media to call on filmmakers to create a biopic celebrating the athlete’s remarkable journey.
The Baddua actor expressed his eagerness to play the lead role, writing, “Plz make a biopic on Arshad Nadeem Olympian’s journey, I so want to play his character,” accompanied by a folded-hands emoji.
Arshad Nadeem ended Pakistan’s 32-year Olympic medal drought with a record-breaking throw of 92.97 meters, securing a gold medal and setting a new Olympic record.
Haider’s suggestion has resonated with many, as several A-list celebrities also took to social media to celebrate Nadeem’s incredible achievement, offering their heartfelt congratulations to the national hero.
