Pakistani actress Saba Qamar revealed on Thursday that she had been offered several Bollywood films, expressing particular regret over her decision to decline the role in the Indian film ‘Love Aaj Kal.’
Before starring in ‘Hindi Medium,’ Saba Qamar was offered roles in several notable films, including ‘Delhi,’ ‘Love Aaj Kal,’ and ‘Cocktail.’ She disclosed that she had auditioned for ‘Delhi,’ but her mother did not approve, leading her to turn it down.
The actress admitted that rejecting ‘Love Aaj Kal’ was her own mistake. Saba explained that she initially believed Deepika Padukone, who had the lead role in the film, would overshadow her presence, making her role insignificant.
However, after watching the film upon its release, Saba realized that passing up the opportunity was a mistake. She reflected on her decision, acknowledging that it was a misjudgment to assume her role would go unnoticed alongside Deepika.
Saba’s candid reflection highlights the often unpredictable nature of film careers and the challenging decisions actors must make regarding their roles.
