Former actress and model Zainab Jamil, renowned for her role in the popular drama “Khuda Aur Muhabbat,” has made shocking claims, accusing her husband of orchestrating a recent assassination attempt on her life.
The incident occurred when the “Aap ki Kaneez” star was brutally attacked by two masked individuals while on her way to her salon in Lahore’s DHA Phase IV.
Severely injured in the gun attack, Jamil revealed from her hospital bed in Lahore that the assault was planned by her husband, who had been threatening her for the past two months.
In a video shared on her Instagram account, Jamil expressed her frustration with the ongoing police investigation, highlighting the imminent danger she faces. Despite having substantial evidence, she voiced her dissatisfaction with the authorities’ response and appealed to the Inspector General of Punjab for intervention and a fair inquiry.

Following the attack, Jamil’s uncle filed a complaint with the police, leading to a case against two unidentified attackers. Law enforcement officials reported the recovery of a pistol and a motorcycle from the scene and assured that the suspects were being pursued with the help of Safe City cameras.
Before this traumatic incident, Jamil had received murder threats and a threatening letter aimed at her beauty salon, indicating a premeditated attack. Despite being in critical condition with six gunshot wounds, Jamil remains determined to seek justice and ensure her safety.
Zainab Jamil, known for her roles in several television dramas such as “Sada Sukhi Raho,” “Sasural Meri Behen Ka,” and “Mannchali,” had announced her hiatus from the entertainment industry in December 2020 to lead a life in accordance with Islamic teachings.
