Retail prices of cement in Pakistan witnessed a decline during the past week. According to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the average price per sack of cement in the northern regions decreased by 0.21% to Rs 1,227, while in the southern regions, it dropped by 0.28% to Rs 1,202.
In Islamabad, the average price was Rs 1,210 per sack, followed by Rs 1,199 in Rawalpindi, Rs 1,250 in Gujranwala, Rs 1,240 in Sialkot, and Rs 1,280 in Lahore. Prices in other cities include Rs 1,240 in Faisalabad, Rs 1,220 in Sargodha, Rs 1,229 in Multan, Rs 1,250 in Bahawalpur, Rs 1,201 in Peshawar, and Rs 1,177 in Bannu.
Meanwhile, in Karachi, prices stood at Rs 1,171 per sack, Rs 1,180 in Hyderabad, Rs 1,300 in Sukkur, Rs 1,173 in Larkana, Rs 1,210 in Quetta, and Rs 117 in Khuzdar. These reductions in prices offer relief to consumers across various regions of Pakistan.
