The Punjab government is gearing up for the distribution of iPads and laptops to students, with the detailed framework expected to be finalized within the next three to four weeks. This initiative comes following a directive from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz last month to kickstart a student survey for the scheme across Punjab.
On March 7, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a meeting in Lahore to review higher education scholarships and the iPad initiative. During this session, she instructed the formulation of a meticulous plan for the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF).
Highlighting the significance of assessing student usage, she underscored that decisions regarding the distribution of iPads and laptops would be based on this evaluation. Furthermore, she pledged to modernize higher education and other educational institutions in Punjab.
The specific launch date for the government’s distribution of iPads and laptops to students will be unveiled in the upcoming month.
