Pakistan witnessed a decline in the prices of ghee and edible oil, both on an annual and monthly basis during February.
The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics released its monthly report, revealing that the average price of one liter of mustard oil stood at Rs. 503.18, compared to Rs. 581.05 in February of the previous year.
Further statistics indicate that in February 2024, the average price of 5 liters of Dalda cooking oil was Rs. 2727.71, marking a 1.02% decrease from January and a 6.98% decrease from February last year, which was Rs. 2932.39.
Moreover, the average price of two and a half kilograms of banaspati ghee in February was Rs. 1305.17, reflecting a 0.45% reduction from January and a 6.59% decrease from February of the previous year.
These figures suggest a notable downturn in the prices of ghee and edible oil, providing some relief for consumers across the country.
