Authorities in Punjab have directed the opening of first-year and third-year admissions ahead of the matric and intermediate results.

Following the recent completion of class 10 exams and the intermediate exams scheduled for April, formal notifications have been issued for the admissions process. The decision aims to attract talented students to government colleges.

As per the notification, admissions to the first year will be based on ninth-class results, while third-year admissions will consider intermediate part-I results.

Educational institutions will announce the deadline for first-year admissions in 2024 upon publication of admission advertisements.

This proactive approach ensures that students can secure their college places promptly, facilitating a smoother transition into higher education.
