ISLAMABAD: The price of chicken in Islamabad has surged, rising by Rs23 and reaching Rs710 per kilogram. The wholesale rate for live broiler chicken has climbed to Rs424 per kilogram, while the retail price is now at Rs440 per kilogram.

In Islamabad, the current selling price for chicken stands at Rs455 per kilogram. The cost of broiler chicken meat has also increased by Rs23 per kilogram, reaching Rs638 per kg.

This upward trend is impacting egg prices as well, with a dozen eggs now costing Rs 402, reflecting a Rs 16 per kilogram increase for live broiler chicken. These changes signify a significant rise across the meat and egg categories, raising concerns among consumers in the region.
