Israeli strikes in Gaza kill 72, including civilians waiting for aid

Israeli strikes in Gaza kill 72, including civilians waiting for aid

Gaza: Israel  has shattered all the records of brutality, intensifying its offensive. Recent strikes have once again targeted vulnerable civilians seeking aid, leading to the tragic loss of 72 more Palestinian lives.

The ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza have resulted in the death of at least 72 Palestinians since Sunday morning, with many victims reportedly civilians seeking food and medical assistance.

The strikes targeted multiple locations across the Gaza Strip, notably in Gaza City’s northern districts.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent, Moath al-Kahlout, described the scene at al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City as “catastrophic,” with dozens of wounded civilians, including children, lying on the ground due to shortages of medical supplies and beds. The hospital is overwhelmed, struggling to cope with the influx of casualties amid severe resource shortages.

Israeli leaflets warning residents in eastern Gaza to move south have been reported, often followed by renewed attacks, leading to high civilian casualties.

Among the victims are at least five aid seekers killed near food distribution centers operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) north of Rafah.

Since late May, when GHF took over limited aid deliveries under the Israeli blockade, Israeli forces have reportedly shot at unarmed aid seekers, killing over 580 people and wounding more than 4,000, according to local authorities.
