Defence Day: ISPR releases new song to honor Pakistan’s heroes

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan Army, has released a new song ahead of Pakistan’s Defence Day to commemorate the services of those who sacrificed their lives to shield the country.

The blurb was shared on the official Twitter handle of DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar who paid accolades to the heroes of the country.

The song by ISPR titles ‘Har Ghari Tayyar Kamran’ is a remake of an old patriotic song of the 80’s by the same name. Pakistan’s top melody voices; Ali Hamza, Ali Azmat, Ali Noor & Asim Azhar have collaborated for the Defence Day 2020.

They pay tribute to the services rendered by our armed forces and its operational readiness.

Pakistan Navy continues its rescue and relief operation in the rain-affected areas of Sindh here on Saturday.

According to the spokesperson for Pakistan Navy, food packets and drinking water were distributed among 2500 people in Surjani Town, Hindu Goth and Korangi areas.

The rescue teams of Navy also distributed meal and basic necessity items in several Goths of interior Sindh.

Mobile medical teams of Pakistan Navy provided medical assistance to 300 people in Mirpur Mathelo and Sujawal.

At the request of the civil administration, Pakistan Navy diving teams also conducted search and rescue operations in Badin and Tando Bago.

Govt. to grant 50% quota to Islamabad domicile holders in federal institution jobs

On the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, government has decided to grant 50 percent quota to Islamabad domicile holders in jobs of federal institutions.

According to the notification issued by Establishment Division, the quota will be applicable on jobs of grade 1 to 15.

Federal government departments have allocated 19 percent quota for Sindh, 7.5 percent for open merit, 11.5 percent for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 6 percent for Balochistan, two percent for Azad Kashmir and one percent for Gilgit-Baltistan.

Former Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) will have three percent quota.

However, the government has decided to continue quota for ex-FATA for next 10 years despite of their merger in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Korangi Causeway Road closed for all kind of traffic after flooding in Malir River here on Saturday.

After water overflow, traffic police have closed both the tracks of Korangi causeway for traffic to avoid any untoward incident.

The traffic is being diverted to Expressway and Godam Chowrangi, said the police.

It is to be mentioned here that the flooding was caused in recent monsoon rainfall in Malir River and rising level of the water swept away the filter wall of the Malir spillway.

The breach in the dyke and flooding had posed threat to Korangi industrial area and the adjacent population, but the situation was controlled by the administration.

The Traffic Police had earlier closed EBM Causeway for traffic due to the rising water level in Malir River.
