Mureed Abbas Murder: Wife Zara rejects second reparation offer from Zaman brothers

Zaara Abbas, the widow of BOL News anchor Mureed Abbas, said on Wednesday that she has rejected a second offer of reparation from her husband’s killers.

In a video message posted on Twitter, Zara Abbas said Atif Zaman, the man who murdered her husband, and his brother Adil Zaman had reached out to her to end the case by accepting money from them.

Earlier this month, death anniversary of our beloved News anchor Mureed Abbas was being observed July 09.

Mureed Abbas was shot dead in Khayaban-e-Bukhari area of Defense last year and accused Atif Zaman, who was allegedly involved in the incident, also tried to commit suicide.

Mureed Abbas’s journalistic career spans nearly a decade. He belonged to Mianwali but received education from DHA College, Karachi.

Mureed Abbas started his career with Business Plus in 2007 after which he joined the team of Sama TV, and then in 2017, he became a part of BOL News as a News Anchor.

According to the police investigation, Atif Zaman from Balakot was involved in the tire business while a container was seized from him this year, causing him a loss of Rs 50 million and the people who had invested with him Constantly demanding money.

As per the latest development, Zara Abbas reached the Supreme Court to seek justice. The court fixed the hearing of the appeal against the release on bail of Adil Zaman.

Formal inquiry begins against Ajmal Wazir’s corruption allegations

A formal inquiry has begun into corruption allegations against former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government advisor Ajmal Wazir.

The provincial information secretary was informed of the development by the inquiry commission in a letter here on Wednesday.

The commission has summoned details of advertisements given during Ajmal Wazir’s tenure. Wazir also served as Policy documents and other information have also been summoned from the ministry.

MPA Kamran Bangash replaced Wazir as the government advidor on July 11. It was announced that Ajmal stepped down after evidence of corruption surfaced against him.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had ordered a high-level inquiry commission to be constituted against him.

“The chief minister has written a letter to the chief secretary for the inquiry and until then Wazir has been removed from the post,” he had said.

Earlier, Former KP advisor said said that a conspiracy was hatched against him.

In a statement, Ajmal Wazir said that he was convinced of the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and would face the charges. Artificial audio tape created by editing various meetings and briefings.

The basis on which this audio was based was the list of the advertising companies for the TV channel. According to the information rules, the chairman of the steering committee is the Minister of Information.

Furthermore, the steering committee had met twice and chaired by the health minister, said Wazir.

He further added that he has nothing to do with the issue for which he is being criticized.

The prime minister’s adviser on finance, Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, has been removed from the National Finance Commission.

The court submitted a notification of this to the Islamabad High Court on Wednesday. The notification appointing him to the commission, which had been challenged in court, has now been withdrawn, Attorney-General Khalid Jawed Khan said.

But Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha argued that their objection was that the NFC had been formed without consulting them.

Ranjha said their victory is that the government has to work according to the Constitution.

Federal board announces dates for special Intermediate, Matric exams

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad has announced that the special examinations for Intermediate and Matric students will begin from September 23.

Special exams are given by private and regular candidates who are not satisfied with the results of their Secondary School Certificate exams and want to improve their grades.

The last date to submit the admission form is August 10. Candidates who mail or post their forms will have to send it in three days before the due date.

The form is available on the board’s website. The submission of the form can take place online, through post or at the board’s One Window Cell.

It has also clarified that no fresh candidate allowed to appear for these special examinations.

The government had previously cancelled all examinations after cases of the novel coronavirus had peaked across the country. It decided that students will be assessed on the results of their previous exams.

With increased power outages in Karachi, citizens suffer fulfilling their basic needs. Alamgir Khan, however, slammed K-Electric for their continuous negligence.

Speaking to an interview on Kiran Naz’s show ‘Bus Bohat Hogaya’, Alamgir Khan lashed K-Electric’s negligence and came in support for citizens facing problems due to power outages.

He said that it is my high demand to not let just one company like K-Electric to deal with this basic supply, as they are failed to fulfill the need of power supply.

Khan further said that is much necessary to increase power suppliers for Karachi so that the ones who cause negligence can be brought to charge.

To avoid problems faced by the consumers, this monopoly should end, or else the single power supplier will cause blackmailing to the government.

On the other hand, the witnesses in Naqeebullah Murder case turned away from their statement against Rao Anwar, who had claimed to have shot down four members of the defunct Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in an encounter near Shah Latif Town in Karachi.

Alamgir Khan said there are numerous persons who witnessed the murder scene and those with Naqeebullah at that time, their statement could be much strong in the court. However, despite of all the charges made on Rao Anwar, he left his position but stlll carries strong political support which allow him roam around the streets freely.

He requested the court authorities to take proper notice on Rao Anwar’s matter and cut his supportive wings in order to provide justice in Naqeebullah murder case.

Alamgir, however, praised the lawyers who are still working tirelessly in this case. He is rest assured that the lawyers will come up to something positive justly in this case.

He further added that Rao Anwar is not the only culprit in the police team, adding that there are many more who gains political and strong support to hide their crimes.

How to join a Messenger Room?

Open Facebook. At the top of your feed under the “What’s on your mind” platform will be Messenger Room entries for any Facebook friends currently signed into Facebook.

You will see ‘join’ if someone has already created a Messenger Room and has joined it on their end. Click the Join button, to pop up into another screen. Once you are both in the room, you will be able to see each other for the video call.

How to create a Messenger Room?
