Xiaomi surprised everyone at its 2026 Values Conference by introducing an unusual new product, ice cream, expanding beyond electronics into the food business.

The ice cream is available in three versions, following Xiaomi’s product-style naming system. The Standard version is priced at $0.88 and includes basic ice cream. The Pro version costs $1.02 and comes with one cookie, while the Max version is priced at $1.32 and includes three cookies.

The product was created by cafeteria chef Bing Jiabao, and its recipe is inspired by tofu-style ice cream and includes millet, which is often linked with Xiaomi’s brand identity.

To prepare it, millet is steamed, blended into a paste with milk, and then topped with millet grains for texture and flavor. Xiaomi said the recipe was improved over three stages to refine the taste.

Images from the event also showed branding from Mengniu on the ice cream machine, suggesting a possible partnership.

Xiaomi has run its internal cafeteria since 2015, with professional chefs and staff employed directly by the company.

The launch quickly went viral on social media, with users joking about missing versions like an “Ultra” or a “Youth Edition.”
