PAF Announces Development of Next-Generation Fighter Jet

At the IDEAS 2024 defence exhibition in Karachi, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) announced its plans to develop the Pakistan Fighter X (PFX), a state-of-the-art fighter jet equipped with advanced weaponry and cutting-edge technology. Building on the success of the JF-17 Thunder Block 3, the PFX aims to enhance Pakistan's defence capabilities and establish the country as a leader in high-tech military advancements. Air Commodore Azhar, speaking at the event, described the PFX as a 4.5-plus generation fighter jet. He emphasized that the aircraft's development will be entirely in-house, showcasing Pakistan's ability to independently produce sophisticated defence technology without relying on external expertise or resources.
