Unreleased Michael Jackson tracks discovered in abandoned storage unit

Michael Jackson
  • Unreleased Michael Jackson tracks discovered in abandoned storage.
  • Estate denies ownership, barring public release of rare recordings.
  • Among the tapes are 12 previously unheard tracks.

A California man, Gregg Musgrove, has stumbled upon a treasure trove of unreleased tracks by late pop icon Michael Jackson. Musgrove, a former California Highway Patrol officer and avid treasure hunter, discovered the tapes in an abandoned storage unit in Van Nuys, deep in the San Fernando Valley. The unit previously belonged to Bryan Loren, a music producer and singer who collaborated with Jackson.

Among the tapes are 12 previously unheard tracks Jackson recorded before his Dangerous album. “Some of them are rumored to exist, while others have never been leaked. Hearing Michael’s voice joking and discussing creative processes gave me goosebumps,” Musgrove shared in an interview with a U.S. media outlet.

One standout track, Truth on Youth, is a rap duet between Jackson and LL Cool J, featuring the King of Pop rapping—a rare and unique departure from his usual style.

Despite the discovery, fans may never hear these tracks. Musgrove revealed that the Jackson Estate declined to purchase the tapes or provide a letter disclaiming ownership. Without copyright clearance, the recordings cannot be released publicly.

Michael Jackson, widely regarded as one of the greatest entertainers, died at age 50 in 2009 from a Propofol overdose.

Michael Jackson biopic to get over $21 Million

Michael Jackson
  • The biopic ‘Michael,’ about Michael Jackson will receive over $21 million in California.
  • ‘Michael’ will generate $120 million in “qualified” in-state spending.
  • Jackson’s nephew Jaafar playing the lead in the film.

The biopic ‘Michael,’ about Michael Jackson, will receive over $21 million in California tax credits, according to the state’s film commission.

According to reports, the California Film Commission announced the latest round of credit allocations, totaling $81.7 million for 24 projects. According to the commission, ‘Michael’ will generate $120 million in “qualified” in-state spending, which is more than any other project in the tax credit program’s 14-year history.

The film was announced in January, with Jackson’s nephew Jaafar playing the lead. The executors of the Jackson estate, John Branca and John McClain, are producing alongside Graham King.

According to reports, the project has sparked controversy. Dan Reed, the director of ‘Leaving Neverland,’ the documentary that accused Jackson of s*xually assaulting two young boys, slammed the new film in a Guardian column, saying it will “glorify a man who r*ped children.”

The state film commission also announced that ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ will receive $13.8 million, and an untitled Disney live-action film will receive $11.3 million. ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ had been awarded $19.6 million last August, but subsequently withdrew that request and reapplied.

The $21.1 million awarded to ‘Michael’ is one of the state’s largest credit allocations ever. California has previously given $22.3 million to ‘Bumblebee’, $21.8 million to ‘Space Jam 2’ and $21.4 million to ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. Only the first $100 million in “qualified” in-state spending is eligible for the state’s 20% tax credit.

Debbie Rowe’s claim has reportedly confused Michael Jackson’s family members

Michael Jackson
  • Debbie Rowe appears in the new documentary TMZ Investigates:
  • Who Really Killed Michael Jackson.
  • She describes how she worked for Dr Arnold Klein, who prescribed Demerol to Jackson.

Michael Jackson’s family members are apparently “bewildered” by Debbie Rowe’s assertion that she stood by as a doctor unethically prescribed the superstar lethal medicines, according to The Sun.

Debbie Rowe, Michael Jackson’s ex-wife, appears in the new documentary TMZ Investigates: Who Really Killed Michael Jackson. She describes how she once worked for legendary Hollywood dermatologist Dr Arnold Klein, who prescribed Demerol, an addictive and strong opiate, to the pop king.

The ex-wife breaks down in tears when she admits that she “should have done more” to curb Jackson’s painkiller addiction.

“I should have done something and I didn’t. There is a number of people that died from addictions and in some way I was part of it,” she said about the singer’s death and for not doing more to help patients like him.

The late popstar’s elderly mom, Katherine, 92, and his brother Randy, 66 are particularly distressed over her comments.

“Debbie’s decision to speak to this show about what she knew about Dr Klein . . . has dumbfounded some of the older Jackson family members,” an anonymous insider told the Sun. “Debbie has not been this open with some of the brothers for sure, so for her to speak on a TV show is bewildering.”

Michael Jackson’s devotion to work had a significant role in his death

Michael Jackson
  • TMZ Investigates: Who Really Killed Michael Jackson will be directed by Akon.
  • In an interview with The Sun, Akon discussed the events leading up to Jackson’s death.
  • He also said that the singer “always pushed himself to the limit”.

Michael Jackson reportedly used sleeping drugs in order to get some rest while preparing for the “biggest show on earth.”

The findings come ahead of the highly anticipated documentary TMZ Investigates: Who Really Killed Michael Jackson, directed by the King of Pop’s friend and performer Akon.

In an interview with The Sun, the Lonely singer discussed the Beat It hitmaker in depth, as well as his winning mindset and how he “always pushed himself to the edge.”

Akon discussed the events leading up to Jackson’s death in 2009 before embarking on his This Is It tour, claiming that his fixation with his job contributed to his fate.

“He was so happy and excited that he was about to go to London and lock these 50 dates in and remind the world who he was and what his value was to pop music,” the singer told the outlet.

“He didn’t even sleep,” Akon added. “That is why he was taking sleeping pills because he was too damn excited.”

“He would be up for weeks at a time thinking about how he wanted everybody to have the most amazing experience, he wanted to create something that was going to be talked about for centuries.

“When you have that energy you don’t sleep. You are going to need help to get sleep because your mind is constantly moving and your energy and your flow [are] electric to the point where you cannot turn it off.”

The singer, who collaborated with Jackson on the Thriller 25 album, went on to say that the pop star “always pushed himself to the limit” and would “never compromised the best.”

“He never believed there was something he could not accomplish or could not do,” Akon said. “Even though his age prevented him from doing a lot of the moves that he did when he was younger, his mind told him ‘No, you can do this.’”

“He was that kind of person. So he pushed himself to the limit and if he wasn’t satisfied he was going to stay there until he was satisfied,” he revealed. “It is kind of a gift and a curse.”

According to mirror.co.uk, the documentary about Jackson’s death will centre on Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011 for prescribing the fatal dose of Propofol.

Michael Jackson, who was held responsible for his own death, had 19 drug-related fake IDs

Michael-Jackson

  • Michael Jackson died in 2009 from an overdose of the drug propofol.
  • It has been revealed that he was prescribed high doses of drugs by multiple doctors.
  • The singer had 19 fake IDs to get his hands on the drugs he desired.

Michael Jackson died in June 2009, following a severe cardiac arrest.

The legendary singer was discovered dead at his Los Angeles home from an overdose of the drug anesthetic propofol.

While Jackson died from drugs, it has been revealed that he was taking dangerously high doses of drugs during his lifetime, which were prescribed to him by multiple doctors.

As per documentary TMZ Investigates: Who Really Killed Michael Jackson, it has been revealed: “Circumstances had been leading up to his death for years, and all of these different medical professionals had allowed Michael to dictate his own terms, get the medicines he wanted, when he wanted them, where he wanted them,” Martinez maintains. “All of them are the reason why he’s dead today.”

It is also reported that the singer had 19 fake IDs to get his hands on the drugs her desired.

“The way that Michael went about getting all these drugs was doctor shopping. He had multiple, different doctors that he was involved with and he would go to ‘Doctor A’ and ask for a sedative, and then he would go to ‘Doctor B’ and may ask for the same one,” Jackson’s plastic surgeon, Dr. Harry Glassman, claims.

“Michael is responsible, to a great extent, for his own demise, but he certainly had a lot of help from the medical community,” he adds.

  • Taj wrote There is no new King of Pop. You don’t own the title @RollingStone

Taj Jackson, the nephew of Michael Jackson, reacted negatively to Rolling Stone’s recent designation of Harry Styles as “The New King of Pop.”

Taj tweeted the magazine’s title, “How the new King of Pop ignited the music industry,” which featured the former member of One Direction and the company.

The legendary singer and performer’s relative slammed the media outlet, writing, “There is no new King of Pop. You don’t own the title @RollingStone, and you didn’t earn it, my uncle did.”

“Decades of dedication and sacrifice. The title has been retired,” he added while clarifying that he has no hard feelings towards the Watermelon Sugar hit-maker, “No disrespect to @Harry_Styles.”

“He’s mega talented. Give him his own unique title,” Jackson continued.

Further clarifying his stance, Jackson shared a fan tweet that said, “This isn’t about Harry styles. It’s about rolling stone constantly disrespecting Michael Jackson and we’re tired.”

The comments divided social media users, with some supporting Taj while others believing Michael Jackson’s reign as “King of Pop” has ended.

“There is only one King of Pop and no offence intended to Harry Styles but he’s not in the same league or universe as Michael Jackson,” one user shared.

“Harry is like every other pop star….. a Michael Jackson wannabe that will NEVER be anywhere near as good or as talented as the REAL King of Pop,” the tweet added.

Another Michael’s fan chimed in, “Your uncle worked way too hard for this,” as one added, “I’m a huge harry styles fan but no. He is not the new king of pop. There is no new king of pop.”

One user, however, disagreed, “That’s not how kings or monarchs work. MJ may have been the greatest king of all time, he may be the best king ever, but new kings can and will exist after him (even if they do pale in comparison).”

“No new songs in over a decade, no #1 hits in nearly 2, his reign as king is over,” the statement added.
