DUBAI: The International Cricket Council has released its latest One Day International rankings, with New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell retaining the top spot among batters.
According to the rankings, India’s Virat Kohli remains second, while Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran holds third place. India’s Shubman Gill has moved up to fifth position.
Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam is placed sixth in the ODI batter rankings. Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha has dropped five places to 14th.
In the ODI bowlers’ rankings, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to lead the list. England’s Jofra Archer is ranked second, followed by South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj in third.
Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed made a significant jump, climbing seven places to reach fourth position. Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi also improved, moving up four spots to 13th.
In the all-rounders’ rankings, Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai remains number one, with Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza second and Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi third.
Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha slipped one place to 11th in the all-rounder rankings, while Shadab Khan is ranked 75th.

Earlier, Australia defended a modest total of 232 to beat Pakistan by 41 runs in the second ODI at Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday, leveling the three-match series at 1-1.
Bowling first after Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and elected to field, Australia posted 231-9 in 50 overs. Josh Inglis and Cameron Green each scored half-centuries for the visitors.
In reply, Pakistan was bowled out for 190 in 44 overs despite a defiant 71 off 104 balls from Shadab Khan, who hit three sixes and one four.
