RAWALPINDI: A post-mortem examination has raised fresh questions about the death of Hina Javed after doctors found multiple injuries on her body, while investigators have yet to determine the exact cause of death in a case that has led to the arrest of her husband and his employee.
Hina's body was found in a bathroom at her home in Rawalpindi's Lalkurti area, within the jurisdiction of the Civil Lines police station. Police later arrested her husband, Faisal Asghar, and his employee, Zeeshan, over their alleged involvement in her death.
According to the post-mortem report, Hina suffered a fractured neck bone, with injuries also noted on her ribs and hip bone. The report also said her pericardium and heart were filled with blood.
Police initially told the doctor that Hina had been hanged by her husband. However, the post-mortem report did not establish a definitive cause of death, prompting investigators to seek further forensic evidence.

The examination was conducted by Dr. Maria Khalid about 12 hours after Hina's death. DNA samples were collected from the body and sent to a laboratory, while other samples were forwarded for forensic examination.
Lady Constable Rafia Tabassum collected the samples for the post-mortem and forensic analysis, according to the report.
The findings emerged a day after a Rawalpindi court granted police a three-day physical remand of Asghar and Zeeshan. Police had produced the suspects before a magistrate and sought custody for further investigation.
The investigation officer told the court that police had recovered a rope and wire allegedly used in the killing from the suspects. The magistrate approved the request and remanded both men to police custody for three days.
Police have also included Asghar's father in the investigation and recorded his statement.
Investigators are awaiting DNA and forensic results to determine the cause of Hina's death and establish what happened inside the home.
