KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan senior central leader Anis Qaimkhani has announced a major protest movement against the Sindh government, accusing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)-led administration of oppression, corruption, and incompetence.
Speaking at a key meeting of central office-bearers, members of the National and Provincial Assemblies at the party’s temporary headquarters in Bahadurabad, Qaimkhani declared that MQM Pakistan is launching a decisive public movement to challenge the provincial government’s record.
“MQM Pakistan will begin a full-scale public agitation against the PPP’s Sindh government,” Qaimkhani stated.
“In the first phase, we will hold protests at the local level, followed by a major demonstration that will send a clear message to the rulers.”
He directed party leaders and workers to accelerate public outreach immediately, both to mobilize support for the protest campaign and to finalize candidate selections for upcoming local government elections.
“Office-bearers and workers must intensify their contacts with the people without delay,” Qaimkhani emphasized. “We are preparing for both street power and electoral strategy.”
