Islamabad: A high-level United States delegation reportedly arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, led by Vice President JD Vance, for a series of strategic discussions aimed at advancing regional peace efforts.
According to ministry of information, the delegation also includes senior U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who are expected to play key roles in ongoing negotiations concerning a proposed 15-point peace framework involving regional stakeholders, including Iran.

Upon arrival, the American delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.
Security in and around the federal capital has been significantly tightened in anticipation of the high-profile diplomatic engagement.
JD Vance’s aircraft entered Pakistani airspace near Chitral. The aircraft of the U.S. Vice President avoided the airspace of Middle Eastern countries and took a longer route. After departing from Maryland, the aircraft also made a two-and-a-half-hour stopover in Paris.
The U.S. Vice President’s aircraft did not use the long Afghan airspace route; instead, his special aircraft traveled through Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan to reach Pakistan.
JD Vance’s aircraft entered Pakistani airspace near Chitral at 10 o’clock. It was warmly received by the Pakistan Air Force upon entering Pakistani airspace, and the special aircraft landed at Nur Khan Air Base at 10:33 AM.
